Tidal Challenges in refurbishment of Belfast Harbour Oil Berthing Jetty
Larsen Contracts have handled many challenging projects in their history of concrete repair, and a current project at Belfast Port - the refurbishment of an Oil berth Jetty 2 is one of the more complex ones.
Farrens Construction appointed Larsen as the specialist structural concrete repair contractor, on the fast track 12 week programme with a value of over £120,000.
The team of 12 specialists working on the project is faced with no only the challenge of working in tidal conditions but also the factor of a live jetty, where the frequency of oil tankers arriving in the harbour can often mean disruption to works.
