Client: Pfizer , Grange Castle ,Dublin Main Contractor: H A O Neill Sub-Contractor: Larsen Contracts Application: Flowcrete Peron STC Decorative Flake 2mm Epoxy Screed Supplier: Flow Crete Sector: Pharmaceutical Industry

Larsen Contracts recently undertook refurbishment of Resin flooring at the Pfizer manufacturing facility in Dublin. Pfizer is a world leader in the pharmaceutical sector and has a requirement for easily cleaned flooring which is also aesthetically pleasing The application chosen was Flowcrete Peran STC with decorative flake .This is a seamless epoxy resin system that offers excellent resistance to chemical compounds and is ideal for clean rooms, processing lines and R&D laboratories. Combined with added chemical and electrostatic resistance, this seamless surface is well suited to sterile processing environments. The high gloss, joint-free finish of this floor coating eliminates the cracks and crevices that harbour dirt and dust – making the floors dust-free as well as being easy to clean and decontaminate. Flowcrete Peron STC also delivers a number of tangible environmental benefits when compared to other Resin flooring systems of its kind. Not only is it virtually odourless, but its solvent and Nonylphenol-free formulation ensures that no harmful volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) are released to atmosphere during application to meet high air quality standards.

The upgrade works to 650m2 of flooring were completed during a five day shutdown period. Larsen Contracts have worked for Pfizer for a number of years in flooring upgrade works
